God took the strength of a mountain,
The majesty of a tree,
The warmth of a summer sun,
The calm of a quiet sea,
The generous soul of nature,
The comforting arm of night,
The wisdom of the ages,
The power of the eagle's flight,
The joy of a morning in spring,
The faith of a mustard seed,
The patience of eternity,
The depth of a family need,
Then God combined these qualities,
When there was nothing more to add,
He knew His masterpiece was complete,
And so,
He called it ... Dad
...................................................really missing you!

My brother Eulogy:
Dear Family and Friends:
"My name is Kamel (Tony) Ksar, and I am the second favorite brother of Joe.
On behalf of my wife Salwa and me, my brothers, sisters and their families, and on behalf of Joe's wife Mary, all her children and their families, thank you all for coming here today, thank you all for your prayers, flowers, phone calls, sympathy, and rememberance.
I know some of you came from far away places, Japan, Michigan, Colorado, Arizona, Iowa and other places. Your tremendous love and support, and sharing wonderful memories of Joe, had helped our family through this difficult time. And as they say "People are not gone, they are just missed"
This is a sad day for all of us, we have lost such a great person, and I think sharing our grief would help us ease our burden.
My brother Joe may have meant something to each and every one of you personally, he was my guardian angel. He was an amazing man, touched our lives in ways we never thought possible, or even imagined. He loved us all, and we know that, we loved him and we hope that he always knew that. I am blessed to have him as a brother.
Joe was always dear to me, he always found time to be with friends, he loved people, he was very loyal, kind, gentle and cares for others. I have no doubt in my mind, that when he meets God in heaven, the first thing he will ask God, if he needs any help, or if he needs money!!
Joe had an incredible personality, he had friends everywhere, everyone of them had a story to tell, and if we put these stories together into one big memory, that will be Joe's LEGACY. All life is a collection of memories, and I think that the memories of my brother Joe generated, will let him live forever.
We love you Joe dearly, miss you always, you are a wonderful brother, father, husband and grandfather. We just can't believe that you are gone, someone already took you away from us, we will always remember you and always will be in a special place in our hearts. Everytime we look into your children and grandchildren eyes, we will see YOU.
My brother Joe wrote in his last will, "for women, please DO NOT WEAR BLACK after I am gone." this is tyoical of my brother Joe, he wants everybody to be happy, and I am sure he will say:
When I am gone, release me, let me go, I have so many things to do and see. You must not tie yourself to me in tears. Be happy that we had so many wonderful years together.
God bless you Joe, and may you rest in peace, and your memory be eternal.
Good bye brother

My Father's Eulogy
Looking out I see many family and friends... It is such a healing gift to be surrounded by your love for my father. Thank you for coming and showing my family and me that my father holds a special place in your heart.
Your friendship allows us to know that my father will be nearby because of the memories stored within you. Please share them with us…never hold back, not now or in the years to come.
After months ill at home my mind’s eye and heart were full of my dad’s journey that he bear-ed with such grace.… My dad showed us courage, he showed us that he could endure much pain; he showed us dignity in his suffering.
My father’s death was beautiful… for weeks my family gathered around his bedside, prayed, saw him gaze lovingly into our eyes, knowing- trusting he was going to the heart of God that his family on the other side was waiting for him with arms wide open. My Uncle Kamal was at his bedside when he took his last breath at 4:32am on Thursday, June 18, which happened to be my parent’s 54 wedding anniversary.
It was a long and brave journey made whole.
I have struggled to find the right words, the right stories, the right note that would speak truly of my father...
But there are simply too many….. Family, faith, Madaba, Jordan, Detroit. San Diego , New Mexico, Japan his good friend Noam
Single words that hold a lifetime connecting you, my family... to my dad. He had a rich life… a giving life and life that I admired even to his last breath…
I only hope I can be so strong…that I can be as generous in my love as he was in his abundant love for life and family.
My father loved unconditionally, it didn’t matter what you did or didn’t do, and it didn’t matter how old you were…. it didn't matter what opinion you held, ….My dad loved and was loved. Who could ask for anything more? What a valuable gift we saw in my father’s attitude.
